BIO
I grew up near Dallas and moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas where I completed the photojournalism program. During school, I worked as a copy editor, entertainment writer, and photographer at The Daily Texan. During my last semester in school, I was offered a production internship at the Austin Chronicle. After graduating in 2004, I began working for the Chronicle as a graphic designer. I also occasionally teach a high school photography class at The Griffin School. I play electric cello and guitar in The Bobbins, a new band working vigorously to prepare for their first show (hopefully soon!) Most weekends you can catch me seeing some live music with friends... camera around my neck! I shoot with a Canon 20D and Canon, Sigma, and Tamron lenses. My biggest influences are Annie Leibovitz and Charles Peterson.
